How it works

On Thursday each week a group of readers and a technical controller produce a recording. Our readers choose articles from the Henley Standard and we aim for a recording of about an hour in length. The recording is then copied onto memory sticks and these are posted to listeners in a protective envelope, usually received on Saturday morning.Listeners can use an MP3 player which we provide free of charge. Or
they can play the memory stick on their own computer if it has a USB
slot.

Once the week’s news has been listened to, the listener reverses the address label on the protective envelope and posts it back to us with the memory stick. There is no need to add any stamps as Royal Mail operates a freepost service for the blind and partially sighted.

If listeners want to pause deliveries while away from home, or stop receiving the service, or have any difficulty playing the memory stick, please phone our Chair, Jane Case, on 07759 213413, or put a note in the return envelope.
